WSRU Gulliver's Sports Travel Cup draw

The draw for this year's WSRU Gulliver's Sports Travel Cup competion has thrown up some interesting first round games.

Ysgol Bro Myrddin v Pembrokeshire College

Ysgol Dyffryn Teifi v Ysgol Bro Dinefwr
Ysgol Ystalfera v Ysgol Preseli
Coleg Sir Gar IIs v Olchfa School

Bridgend College IIs v Gowerton School

WSRU Gulliver's Sports Travel Cup kicks off early

There will be early start for this year's competition on Saturday when Ysgol Glantaf take on Whitchurch High School. Although first round games need to be completed by November 5th, the two close neighbours have opted for an early start. The recent good weather should mean ideal conditions for this eagerly awaited fixture.

Both schools have won this competition in recent years and both teams will be eager to progress to the final which again this season will be played on the Millenium Stadium

Knock Out Competitions ready to go

This year's knockout competitions are due to start shortly. First round games in the WSRU (Senior Group) Gulliver's Sports Travel Cup competition and the preliminary round of the WSRU (Senior Group) Bay Resourcing Plate competition are due to be played by the 3rd October 2012. Entering it's 24th year the competition is still the major honour for schools to win in this age group. Thirty two sides will be battling it out to lift the trophy later in the season.

Action from the second weekend

The second round of games in the Saturday League competition took place last weekend. An indication of who will likely prove the strongest teams in the three divisions is starting to emerge. All fixtures were played with some excellent performances being recorded
