WSS&C Celtic Camping Girls Trophy goes north

On a sunny Deember afternoon the second WSS&C Celtic Camping Girls Trophy was keenly contested by five teams representing each of the regions. Although this was the second time the competition has been organised, it was the first time that all of the regions were represented. Playing a round robin format each team played four games during the afternoon with the the outcome in doubt until the final round of games. More to follow 

Vase & Plate winners decided

The winners of the WSRU Senior Group Circle IT Vase and the Bay Resourcing Plate competitions have been decided. Played as a double header game at Cardiff Arms Park on a bright sunny day Neath Port Talbot College defeated Ysgol Gyfun Llangynwyd in the Bay Resourcing Plate and Gowerton School defeated Cardiff High School in the Circle IT Vase.

Vase & Plate finals

Following hot on the heels of the WSRU Senior Group Cup final, Wednesday 20th April will see two games that will determine who will hold the Vase and Plate for the coming year. Both finals will take place at Cardiff Arms Park in a double header. First up will be the Plate final between near neighbours Neath Port Talbot College and Ysgol Gyfun Llangynwyd. Llangynwyd will be making their first appearance in a final and will be favourites to win their first silverware after convincingly securing the Ospreys League title earlier in the season.

Llanishen High School secure third Cup win

Lanishen High School secured their third consecutive WSRU Senior Group Gulliver's Sports Travel Cup victory at the Principality Stadium on Wednesday. On a sunny April day the Cardiff school made it a third consecutive victory. In front of a bumper crowd who were bathed in early spring sunshine the current holders were given a fright by their opponents but their greater experience gained from winning the Cup for the past two years proved invaluable.
